On the state program for accelerated industrial-innovative development (AIID) in 2010-2014 42 projects are blueprinted in Pavlodar oblast worth the sum of 722,2 bn tenge that will open nearly 8 000 jobs. 26 projects out of them are to be finalized in the current year. In the recent TV bridge with the President the oblast governor Bakytjan Sagintayev reported on completion of 12 programs, the rest 14 objects are to be ready by December.

It was resolved at the recent oblast’s coordination council to complement the industrialization map with 12 more investment projects the total sum of 61 bn tenge, providing over 3 000 jobs. All these blueprints, as said by Kanat Shabenov – chairman of the department for enterprise and industry – are under endorsement in the ministry for industry and new technologies.

The top projects are construction of baked anodes production in the “Kazakhstan electrolyze plant” JSC worth 35 bn tenge. The anodes for aluminum smelting are at present imported, which certainly tells on this metal’s production cost. During the recent visit to the oblast President N.Nazarbayev approved of the project, urging for launching another production line of pure aluminum and other by-productions in the long term.

11 projects are entered on the Industrialization Map. These are reconstruction of the enrichment plant “Tort Kudyk” JSC that will process 500 thousand tons of ore a year, producing a ton of gold and ten tons of silver, construction by “Inter Service-Pulse” LLP of a plate glass NT production, “Production of steel longitudinal welded pipes by the “Pavlodar pipe plant” LLP, upgrading of the hoist equipment assembling line of the “Irtysh-Lift” LLP, and many other projects.

The additional 12 projects in industrial-economic development boost the oblast’s economic potential, improving the population’s life in the region.
